One Dead and Several Injured After Car Crashed in Times Square in New York


Time: 6:25 p.m. CEST

At least one died and other 19 are injured after a car crashed in Times Square on Thursday. Several pedestrians are injured when a car crashed in New York Times’ Square on May 18 at about noon.

Photos on social media show a car slightly overturned on a barrier  at the corner of 45th and Broadway. As the New York Times reports, “a New York police spokeswoman said it has no immediate information.” CBS says, Times Square incident is not related to terrorism, citing New York City Police. As Reuters says, “the vehicle was a red sedan and CBS New York Television said the driver had been removed.” One person was covered by a bloodstained blanket, said Reuters.
