Trials: Pavle Bogoevski’s Case Postponed At Primary Court in Skopje

After four postponement, the main hearing in the case of Pavle Bogoevski for alleged participation in the crowd during the protests at the Ministry of Culture that happened on April 18, 2016. More than a year after the specific event, Bogoevski who is elected Member of the Parliament of SDSM and former prominent member of the “Colorful Revolution,” appeared at Primary Court Skopje 1 but left after 10 minutes without giving a statement to the reporters.

Instead, his lawyer briefly stated that this postponement happened due to he lack of lawful conditions, citing Criminal Code, but without giving specific details, saying it could take long to number them. According to Criminal Code article 370, five reasons could influence on postponement of the main hearing for a trial in court. The trial of Bogoevski started on October 5, 2016 and hearings occurred on November 14, 2016, January 30, 2017 and March 13, 2017. Next hearing, as Bogoevski stated off camera is on May 29, 2017.
