Participants in Red-Yellow Protest Say ‘Our Nation is Not Genocide Nation’

Protests in Skopje continue in support of the unitary character of Republic of Macedonia in the organization by the citizens initiative. People walked from the Government to the Assembly building in the city accompanied with patriotic songs and placards that question the numbers of certain population in Macedonia.Several art and music performers explained their view on Macedonia and inter-ethnic relations in the country, according to their opinion. Organizers of the protest walk repeated their requests to the political parties in the country, including that Parliament do not vote for the demands of Tirana’s platform. Participants in the protest walk said that “our nation is not genocide nation,” referring to one of the demands allegedly written in this platform that requests review of, as published in the media, “genocide on Albanians,” in several decades, from 1912 until 1952.
