Special Public Prosecution in Skopje presented new case that according to them represents misuse in the process of public procurements that includes several construction and mineral companies in Macedonia. Special Prosecutor, Fatime Fetai explained briefed details in the newest case claiming that the companies initially responded to procurement without having a proper documentation.
The case is open after prosecutors reviewed two non-published illegally intercepted conversations among representatives of involved companies. A Special Prosecutor Katica Janeva informed the prosecution could charge additional 17 people in the case “Titanic,” and some of them are high officials, but Janeva did not say any specific names or functions.
In the questions and answers part Lence Ristovska confirmed that this prosecution opened pre-investigation in one private media company, which publishes several newspapers in Macedonia. However she offered no details about any findings, or if the case relates to other investigation by this prosecution.
