The U.S. President Donald Trump announced from his Mar-a-Lago resort that Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster as the new security national adviser. Gen. Keith Kellogg will remain as a chief of staff at the National Security Council. McMaster explained it would be “a privilege” to continue to serve the nation, as published in a video by the Associated Press. “I look forward to joining the national security team and doing everything that I can to advance and protect the interest of the American people,” McMaster said.
The U.S. President Trump added that is a great team and greeted combination as “something very, very special.” McMaster and Kellogg were among four candidates Trump planned to interview as someone to replace Michael Flynn, who resigned amid information he talked Russia’s sanctions with Russia’s ambassador in the U.S. during campaign period.
