The U.S. President Donald Trump’s nominee for secretary of labor, Andy Puzder, has withdrawn his name from consideration, YahooNews reports. The Associated Press reported on Wednesday afternoon. His decision not to be secretary of labor comes a day before his Senate confirmation. Earlier, multiple reports said Puzder lacked the votes for confirmation, as a top Republican official said to CNN, at least four GOP senators would definitely vote against Puzder’s confirmation, and the Washington Post said the number of those who will not support him, could be at least seven.
