9th Circuit Canceled Travel Ban

Time: 1:13 a.m. CEST

The United States President Donald Trump’s travel ban will remain blocked, CNN.com reports after 9th Circuit Federal Court in San Francisco ruled on Thursday. A three-judge panel decide unanimous to refute government’s argument for temporarily ban to citizens of seven majority countries and they could travel to the U.S., despite Trump’s executive order. “On the one hand, the public has a powerful interest in national security and in the ability of an elected president to enact policies,” the judges wrote, as CNN.com reports. “And on the other, the public also has an interest in free flow of travel, in avoiding separation of families, and in freedom from discrimination. We need not characterize the public interest more definitely than this… The emergency motion for a stay pending appeal is denied.” President Trump tweeted, “See you in court, the security of our nation is at stake.”
