Two hours after the beginning of the political talks between representatives of SDSM, Radmila Shekerinska, Oliver Spasovski, Renata Deskovska and part of Democratic Union of Integration’s representatives, the parties at talks, gave statement to the reporters waiting in front of Skopje’s Holiday Inn hotel. Neither of participants in the talks mentioned particular outcome, only suggesting the further discussions inside those two political parties structures could follow.
Two hours after the reported talks inside the hotel, members of SDSM left hotel together, but Renata Deskovska and Oliver Spasovski did not stand by the vice-president of Social Democratic Party of Macedonia, Radmila Shekerinska while she tried to explain the nature of the talks between the possible coalition parties. Shekerinska thinks that these meetings would continue. Discussions are made in two political parties, but we think we aim to the same goal, end of political crisis in Macedonia.
“As a state, and as people, we need to take care how this state step by step would become more stable and to become better place for living for its citizens, and therefore the suggestions on the table we will discus it with the Macedonian public,” Shekerinska answered to question what is the opinion of SDSM to the platform of Albanians political parties in Macedonian after the meeting with Albanian President Edi Rama in Tirana.
Three representatives of political party DUI left hotel and stand together while Mayor of Tetovo, Teuta Arifi and vice-president of DUI gave statement to the media, emphasizing DUI is political party is open-minded. “The public is informed for our opinions, integration into European Union, realization of Skopje agreement in the segment of the Special Prosecution, the questions related to the Ohrid Framework Agreement, Euro-Atlantic integration,” Arifi stated in Skopje. Despite, Arifi said, the final decision would be on DUI’s presidency.
President of Republic of Macedonia, Gjorgje Ivanov, who gives the mandate to the winning political party who won elections, gave condition to political parties to gather 61 votes, after the talks for the new government after early parliamentarian elections on December 11 between winning VMRO-DPMNE and DUI failed upon the disagreements on the future mandate for the Special Prosecution.
Earlier in the day, former Minister of Interior, Gordana Jankulovska and VMRO-DPMNE member disqualified the work of Special Prosecution after she visited the prosecution, formed with July 15 Agreement to investigate the content of illegally intercepted phone conversations, disclosed by opposition president, Zoran Zaev.
