New Parliament Constitutes in Macedonia

New members of the Parliament 2016-2020 convene on December 30 after the end of the early parliamentarian election in Macedonia for a constitutive session. President of the previous Parliament, Trajko Veljanovski opened the session, which is ceremonial one.

All new elected members of parliament arrived for the session, with some of them for the first time siting in the Assembly, after being elected on December 11 election in Macedonia. Former prime minister, Nikola Gruevski who was elected in Election Unit 4 was in plenary hall, as well his political rival, president of opposition SDSM, Zoran Zaev.

Religious dignitaries attended the ceremony session of the new Assembly (Parliament) in Macedonia together with new members of Parliament and government.

After the intonation of the national anthem, media left the plenary hall, today reserved only for the elected MP and honorary domestic guests. Interim Prime minister, Emil Dimitriev, who was elected on January 18, according to the July 15, 2015 agreement, attended the ceremony session.

From the plenary hall balcony at the Assembly, foreign ambassadors followed the constitutive session. On the session, Veljanovski read the names of newly elected members of the parliament. Dignitaries of the religious communities in Macedonia were guests to the session, including members of army, and academic institutions.
