Administrative Court in Skopje Opens Procedure For Election Complaints

The Administrative Court in Skopje began to review the appeal submitted by the opposition SDSM for the elections in Electoral Unit six during the voting on December 11 early parliamentarian election. SDSM petitioned the decisions of the State Election Commission, which voted to refute the complaints. In the two half-hour sessions in Skopje, the five judges of this court started the procedure upon the two petition of the opposition.

The court opens two complaints of SDSM against the decisions of the State Election Commission for the polling place 1978 in Tetovo and polling place 2025 in Tearce, Tetovo area. The court would consider the other two remaining complaints on Tuesday and probably would remain in the legal deadline to consider all submitted complaints, one submitted by VMRO-DPMNE party. Broadcast crews braved the cold temperatures, in front of the Administrative Court. The Court announced the hearings would be public.

According to the data of the State Election Commission, petitioner did not made complaints in the legal deadline of five hours after the signing the local election commission official notes in the Form 16 and did not made petition to the Form 21. The State Election Commission reviewed the computer system for summarizing the results and said the numbers written in the Form 16, corresponded with those entered in the computer system.
