President-elect Opens Negotiations With Companies To Keep Factories in US

President-elect Donald Trump said on Thursday that the forthcoming administration would punish companies that will open facilities overseas. Trump, as the Washington Post writes, “defended directly negotiating a $7 million incentive package to keep one factory open here.”

As reported, Trump made the deal with air conditioner manufacturer Carrier over the past few days. More than 1,000 jobs would remains instead of moving to Mexico. The Post says, the company would receive $7 million from Indiana in exchange fro a $16 million investment in the facility over the next two years.
