President Barack Obama marked the Veterans Day with an honor to those who honored our country. “We come together to express our profound gratitude for the sacrifices and contributions you and your families made on the battlefield at home and the outposts around the world,” Obama said in his final Veterans Day at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.
President Obama laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unkowns on Friday. Obama said those in attendance that Americans are not a people of isolationism, but instead unite despite their differences. The U.S. president greeted the nation’s veterans as someone with ‘principles that are more enduring than transitory politics.’
