Vice President-elect Mike Pence will lead the transition effort for President-elect Donald J. Trump and will change the Governor of New Jersey, Chris Christie who was on the position in previous months.
The New York Times published first the information citing several sources, close to the transition team. Trump wanted to have Pence’s Washington experience, the Times reports. The full process will be on oversight of an executive committee, which will advise Pence as the process continues, the Times says.
Even though it is too early for the members of Trump cabinet, the Times publishes the latest name mentioned in the “speculation maelstrom,” is Jamie Dimon, the chief executive of JPMorgan Chase. CNBC mentioned Dimon as a candidate of secretary of the Treasury.
