The parliamentarians of the Assembly of Republic of Macedonia voted on October 17 for a parliament dissolution before the early general election agreed in winter. In support of the dissolution of the Parliament 110 MPs voted during the last plenary session after the Assembly reconvene on May 18, 2016.
Before the vote to dissolve the parliament, 72 parliamentarians supported state budget for 2017, which is projected to 187.612 billion MKD denars, ($3,3 billion). The President of the Assembly, Trajko Veljanovski should declare and sign the decision for the elections, scheduled on December 11, The election campaign could start on November 21. The Parliament did not discussed the changes in the Election Unit 6, as the European Commissioner for enlargement Johannes Hahn requested of the political stakeholders on his latest official visit to Skopje last Friday.
