Residents of Skopje and other towns in Macedonia, members of non-governmental organizations, veterans and opposition and their supporters marched in Skopje to mark the 75 years of the anti-fascist uprising, which happened in Prilep and Kumanovo in 1941 during the World War II.
Aside the state celebrations, the opposition, residents and NGO’s celebrate the day with a message to the government their fight continues and that the vote/voice is wining. The march started on the crossroads “Ruzveltova” and “Partizanski Odredi” to continue toward the building of the Assembly of Republic of Macedonia.
The President of SDSM, Zoran Zaev walked together with former member of the counterintelligence Zoran Verushevski, both involved in a judicial process after the prosecution opened the case “Putsch.” The people walked behind the banners on which they wrote, “The Fight Continues, Voice is Winning.”
A member of the veterans organization thanked to the organizers for the dignitary celebration of the public holiday, while Zaev address the thousands gathered with the words that, “Citizens of the Republic of Macedonia raise their voice.”
