Attorney General Loretta E.Lynch said on Wednesday the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email server is over, addressing the public with a statement on the Department of Justice website.
In the afternoon, Lynch met with the Federal Bureau of Investigation director, James Comey, career prosecutors and the agents who conducted the investigation of Secretary Hillary Clinton’s use of a personal email system during the time as secretary of state.
“I received and accepted their unanimous recommendation that the thorough, year-long investigation be closed and that no charges be brought against any individuals within the scope of the investigation,” Attorney General said in a statement.
FBI director Comey held a news conference yesterday saying that their judgment is that “no reasonable prosecutor would bring any charges.”
