Members of NGO’s and supporters request resignations of five Constitutional Court judges who voted to accept the initiative on Pardon Law.

Residents of Skopje and members of NGO movement “Ајде” held a peaceful protest in front of the building of the Constitutional Court in Skopje, while police protected the building. The protest came after the Court accepted the initiative for revision of the Pardon Law changes, the parliament voted on January 27, 2009 and limit power of the president to grant pardons.

The Constitutional Court should discuss the issue further, but the NGO’s react to the possibility that the president could grant pardons, even for the crimes against elections and voting, something that the changes of the law in 2009 limited.
