The president of the Social Democratic Union of Macedonia Zoran Zaev said on Monday the opposition would not accept to return to the Assembly for the possible vote of no-confidence in the government. At the same news conference, Zaev called the Public Prosecution to start the process after the disclosures he is doing in public.
During the 13th news conference, Zaev and SDSM played conversations between the Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski and Minister of Transport and Communications Mile Janakieski.
The nature of the conversations relates to the green spaces that become building land in the vicinity of the Vodno Mountain in Skopje. “It looks like that it is about the plan of objects, that only in the name of the company of Belize total terrain surface is 14.500 m2. With today’s market price the land would cost 17.000.000 euros,” Zaev said during the news conference.
Zaev said, this is Nikola Gruevski who requested the green area and the area for recreation to become the building land. For Zaev, “presented phone conversations and those who will follow are enough causing not only for the Prime minister to resign, but to leave political stage together with those who support him.”
Zaev presented also conversations between Gruevski and Janakieski about the construction object “Kosmos” – subject that was mentioned in the previous news conferences of Zaev. The son of the businessman and former MP Fijat Canoski, Sefer Canoski reacted with his personal opinion on Facebook with the disappointment about the content of the conversations.
When Zaev disclosed the conversations about the green area, Prime Minister Gruevski denied the content and said his only property is listed with the Anti-corruption commission. The party on which the Prime minister Gruevski belongs reacted with a statement. In it, said, “the references that Zaev tried to create during today’s news conference are manipulation and a lie. The spectacular announcement for created talks are proof that Zaev is conscious about its manipulation.” The ruling VMRO-DPMNE party said to Zaev, “the Government of the Republic of Macedonia issued a statement that cleared Nikola Gruevski does not own any other property than that submitted in the property list at the Anti-corruption commission.”
Zaev announced further disclosures of an intercepted conversations. Soon after the general elections in 2014, SDSM decided to return the mandates and the Assembly is functioning without parliamentarians of this party. Possible judicial case should determine who intercepted communications of about 20.000 citizens, as the opposition claims. For SDSM, honest people gave them the materials.
