Environmental Activists Request Measures Against Air Pollution in Skopje

Members, activists and residents of Skopje marched on Sunday against the air pollution in the city, which they see as a pressing problem. The activists gathered in the Park of Journalists in Skopje and marched in the center of the city in support for their cause. With messages that Skopje is polluted city the activists carried out parole with “50 Shades of Gray Skopje.” The president of this environmental organization “Go Green-Skopje” Marko Sokolovski said, “Macedonia has the most polluted air in Europe and shares the fifth place according to the death cases because of the pollution, that is over 1350 in one year.” The activists wanted to inform the residents of Skopje for the measures the responsible needs to undertake. Sokolovski said, “They recommend to the citizens to use public transport, and car sharing.”
